Geocaching gets you to seek out places you've never been before, places you may have walked past or drove by a thousand times and never stopped at. It's really a fun hobby and my son and I are haveing a great time doing it. Today however took me to the most familar place on earth for me. My parents owned a country store since my younger brother was born they ran the store and closed it after 11 years. Our house was attached and in the back of the store. The state was widening the HWY and bought my parents out and they moved. The state tore down the house and added on to the cemetery that was in back. It was a church before any store was there. With all that said last year we got into geocaching and have been running a lot this summer to make our goal. I thought I'd see what was close to my parents house that they live in now and notice on the map a green marker seemed to be were the old house use to be. Sure enough it was there. We left my parents after a visit and headed over to the old homestead and searched around and found the cache. It was really fun to be back and look around it doesn't look the same except for the head stones in the cemetery but how cool is that geocaching too literally.
Take care & safe travels
